Mikaela Norkus [she/her]

Mikaela is a dedicated and compassionate advocate. She prides herself in being an empathetic listener who forges creative and practical solutions for her clients. As an Associate at Kelly D. Jordan Family Law, Mikaela’s practice encompasses all aspects of family law, including parenting, property and support issues.

Mikaela was called to the bar in 2026. Before joining the firm, she articled at a prominent boutique family law firm in Toronto, where she gained experience in a wide range of family law matters.

Mikaela received her Juris Doctor from Queen’s Law in 2025. During law school, her passion for family law deepened through hands‑on experience at the Queen’s Family Law Clinic, where she assisted clients in navigating the court system. She also participated in the 2025 Walsh Family Law Moot, earning First Place Respondent Factum and Second Best Team Overall.

Prior to law school, Mikaela received her Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction from the University of Toronto. Her major was history and her minors were women and gender studies and sexual diversity studies.

When possible, Mikaela prioritizes alternative dispute resolution to achieve efficient and cost-effective outcomes, but she will not hesitate to represent clients firmly before the court when necessary.
